It is fair time in our neck of the woods. I am sure it is in a lot of areas. What an exciting busy time for kids. My kids were in 4-H for a while but lost interest. Of course Alyssa and Ryan are to old now. But we go to the parade, go to the fair grounds to look at all the animals, crafts and at least one day we enjoy the fattening, greasy fair food. I love me some funnel cake. There is a rodeo but we do not attend that. We use to but one year we went a horse ran into the side of a fence they had up and died right there on the spot. That was way to much for my little animal lover Courtney and she never wants to go there again. We also have a car derby. Ryan and his girl friend are taking Courtney Saturday night. It is just a fun time. Here are some pictures from the parade.

I hope you are able to attend your fair and look at all the talents kids have. It is so fun to see all the hard work they put into their animals, crafts and foods. My mouth is so watering for that fair food.

Fairs are fun. I used to be in 4-H knitting. Won a blue ribbon one year at county and then sweater went to state were I won reserve champion! I still have the sweater...cable knit in green wool! Love it and still knit. Glad it's made a come back. I'm knitting a sweater for my little granddaughter.

I love the fair. My daughter used to be in 4-H and did many fair projects. I love to see how talented all the kids are, I love the animals and the food is great! I especially like the mini donuts. Glad you had fun.

Fun! I'm not sure where you live, but I had never seen kids picking up candy by the bag full!! until I moved to the midwest! Sounds like a fun time. We went to a county fair last night, but the big state fair doesn't start until Aug 12. Sounds like you ended up doing well at your garage sale!
