Snow Day Thursday :)

Today we have another snow day.  Yea, I am so excited.  I slept in until 6:30.  I know that is not late but for my body that is late. I got up did my James study that I am doing with some of my Good Morning Girls.  It is quite an eye opener for me.  I have learned that when things get hard I really need to stop acting like a baby.  I need to put a smile on and see where God leads me.  I know it is a lot easier to type that then it is to do.  I also have learned that if I ask God for something then I need to believe he will provide.  I should never ever doubt he wants what is best for me.  That is all a lot to learn in just versers 1-8.

As I sit here in the quite of my house and look outside at the winter wonderland we are living in I think how lucky I am to be in my cozy home with heat, lights, tons of food (I have been working on my stockpiles) and most of my family home.  Hubby is off today also.  He is sleeping in today which he so much deserves.  I think sometimes I am so busy with the kids, yes even when they are away at college they call everyday to talk and ask for advice or even what should I make for dinner, any ideas.   My hubby gets pushed to the end of the line. So I have deceided to partipate in  Courtney's challenge.

It is the Be My Valentine Marrage Challenge: Each week the challege will be to praise, encourage, inspire, admire, build up, thank and apprieciate my husband.

It is just what I need and I thought maybe some of you out there would like to particpate also.  God has given us strong, loving and kind husbands lets show them how much we apprieciate all they do for our families.

Courtney my 14 year old and I will start our Passport to Purity class at church tomorrow night.  It is just Friday evening and Saturday morning. I will let you know how it goes and what we have learned.  I think it will be a wonderful class for her as next year she will be starting high school.

I have also started a book call Crazy Love.  I will let you know what I think when I am done.  I think it might be an eye opener.

Hope you find beauty in your Thursday.

Crystal

  2. Francis Chan is a wonderful author and an incredible speaker. I was lucky enough to listen to him at a conference a few years back when he released this book and it was amazing. I think you'll love Crazy Love. It was amazing.

I love the Valentine Challenge. I can't blog about it at my blog (because my husband reads it) but I'm doing it and it's been great!
